The BIM e-Solutions team has years of experience within the maritime sector. Having our origins as part of a large maritime group before becoming independent, we know the ins and outs of the maritime and logistics sector.
The team includes a wide range of expertise, such as operational, business, finance, and technical knowledge. Our heritage
BIM, Bureau International Maritime, started as a daughter company of a big maritime group. BIM e-Solutions focuses on providing tailor made technical solutions that further digitalisation of the maritime sector with a primary focus on projects within the African continent. BIM has worked with various sub-Saharan African government organisations, including countries such as Republic of Congo, Gabon, Burkina Faso, Angola, Cameroon, Togo, and Benin.
BIM was the first company in the world to implement a fully operational Electronic Cargo Tracking Note application (ECTN), which replaced the paper based CTN (Cargo Tracking Note) used in the past. This allowed shippers from around the world to exchange information pertaining to shipments with the respective authorities digitally, which provides invaluable insight ahead of the arrival of goods, such as shipping trends and statistics based on the documents provided at the time goods leave the port of loading.

BIM e-Solutions has over 20 years’ experience in the digitalisation of maritime documentation and processes. Our hands-on approach to each project is tailored to the individual client ensuring the highest quality of product and service. All BIM projects start by a discovery phase to collect all the information necessary to gain a deep understanding of the processes that are to be digitized before providing a detailed implementation plan with concrete milestones in line with the functions and timing required by the client. We apply the Agile-Waterfall method to our projects and ensure that our clients have full transparency every step of the way.
BIM e-Solutions is currently a partner of the Shippers’ council of Burkina Faso and provides the management and maintenance of their online ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note) platform.
